Amanda Brugel

(February 27th of 2010 to Toronto ON) Pointe Claire is a quiet community located on that part of the island of Montreal known as the West Island. People who don't understand the name mistakenly believe that it is the West Island extends westward from Montreal. It is actually it is the West Island includes everything westward of the city of Lachine. Amanda Brugel's hometown is often mentioned, but her brief visit to the West Island was not. Brugel was raised on Courtice just outside Oshawa in Ontario. Her first ambition was to be a dancer. However, a growth increase caused her to surpass all of the dance partners she was able to have. A Toronto Star article revealed she's 6ft 1in tall in heels. As I got bigger than my male counterparts, I gave up. A lot of former dancers go on to act. For Brugel it was because of the advice by her drama instructor at high school that led her to take the step she required. She was encouraged to take part in an audition in her school's production. Following a trial her options, she was eventually the leading lady of Anne of Green Gables. The Fine Arts Talent Scholarship led her to York University, where she completed her studies in Theatre and graduated with the Bachelors in Fine Arts in the year 2000. In the past 20 years, Brugel's work has been seen on the small and large screen. The most notable was her fame when she was offered the character of Rita in the acclaimed television show The Handmaid's Tale. Brugel, the only Canadian in the season 1 The Handmaid's Tale cast and only seen occasionally was the sole Canadian.
